Bridges of The Past

You can find info such as locations, lots of technical data, historical background, design type, maps of historical bridges and more. It also includes current news. It is a good site if you like to travel and enjoy the old country and see old bridges. Some of these old bridges have long or recently collapsed. They have maps, so you can find out how to get to a particular bridges. Note that some of these bridges (I think) do not exist anymore.

Below are the photograph information:

First photograph from the top is the "Auburn Branch covered Bridge" Clark County, Illinois. Photo taken by Robert Stephenson.

Middle photograph is the "Base Road Bridge", Jennings County, Indiana. Photo taken by Chris Light.

The bottom photograph is the "Sutherline Ford Bridge", Putnam County, Indiana. Photo taken by Anthony Dillon.

April 22, 2009

no posts today and on the 22nd.

I'm sorry I havn't posted. I've been ill and sad. On April 22, 2009 (which just started 11 minutes ago in California) it will be the 6 months anniversary for my dog Bodie's untimely death. He was only 6. As some of you know, he was killed on October 22 (I wrote about him in October) in a dog park by a Pitbull. So, I will most likely still be too sad to post. I am planning to at least light a candle for him, and hopefully put nice flowers on his grave.

Bless you all, take a good care of yourself, your family and your pets.

The 1970's...Those Were The Days

I admit, I didn't really read the blog much, but it looks nice and I liked most of the pictures from the 1970's.

Where's The Toilet Paper?

History of the Toilet Paper... this isn't the kind of topic that crossed my mind every now and then. Nor a subject of conversation in general. But I did find the trivia and the rest of this site full of good information. It focuses on fun facts, surveys, stories, manufacturers, worldwide and zingers. There is also a timeline. Did you know the history goes back eons ago?

Toilet Paper Encyclopedia

**Also check out these fantastic old time toilet paper photographs at "Tag Yerit Presents: Toilet Paper Curiosities". You gotta check out that site. They have fantastic stuff. It has additional informatioal, but both are great sites. The big differences is that the site below has photos.

Toilet Paper Curiosities

The image above is from the Tag Yerit Presents site. The toilet paper in the image is so very rare. It was made between 1871-1884. There is more information on this particular paper. Very interesting. I'm glad they don't make it anymore, ha. It is the first image on the site.
